Hey,

Just to be sure about the settings:
Everyone has access to the plain data structure and the hash of the root (but not the hash of other nodes). Right?

Think that we have a prover that has access to all data, and we have (potentially many) verifiers that only know the hash of the root. All operations Insertion/Deletion/Searching are done by the prover which has access to all data, and after each operation the prover updated the hash of the root (if needed) so that anyone can see. In proof of membership, the prover proves to some verifier that a certain data block belongs to the tree.
